The “La cicala che ride” restaurant is located in San Pietro in Palazzi, a small outlying suburb hamlet  at the outskirts of Cecina, 3 km far from the beach. It has a large garden where you can enjoy your dinner in the warm season and parking area.

The pizzeria's wood fired oven is open every evening from 19:30.

The indoor dining room has a beautiful fireplace and it can cater for small ceremonies and banquets.

Our cooking specializes on fish but it also offers meat dishes prepared according Tuscan tradition. Hospitality and kindness are ingredients that you will always find!

With its windows offering a direct sea view, the restaurant offers fine quality fish dishes as well as land fare courses. Everything is fresh prepared, including the desserts which are creatively homemade from our chef. The wine list features excellent and effordable Sardinian Vermentinos and some Tuscan red wines; wine lovers can enjoy cool served Turriga, Cala Silente, Capichera and, among the red ones, Sassicaia, Grattamacco 2003, Guidalberto 2004 and Tassinaia 2003,  as well as a wide choice of enological masterpieced from Bolgheri. Our prices suit all budgets and are never exorbitant; you can enjoy a starter or a first course paired to a DOC Sardinian Vermentino for just a few Euros or a full meal for a few dozen Euros. Our restaurant is located La Ventola Hotel-Residential hotel. It can accommodate 200 people in winter and 400 in the summer, when it is possible to eat outdoors, on the gazebo. "Le Chiacchiere" restaurant is provided with 25 tables distribuited in four rooms; during the summer our customers have the opportunity to eat outside, on the pleasant pedestrian street.

The venue is located on the ground floor of an old building on Corso Matteotti, near the cathedral and the train station. 

The interior desig is rustic but with attention paid to details, and the walls are enriched with vintage photos. The wine list is wide and mostly contains local etiquettes.

Our service is attentive: the menu offers fish and meat specialties, a large variety of pizzas, fanciful salads for the vegetarian cuisine's lovers and abundant portions. Because we use the finest wheat,rice and soy flour, sourdough instead of brewer’s yeast, sea salt from Trapani which is picked up according to the traditional method and “il Cavallino” local extra virgin olive oil.

The result is a unique product in terms of quality, digestibility and lightness.

Our pizza has an unmistakable taste that reminds of genuine, traditional homemade bread and it is prepared with the utmost care.

The dough’s rising can last up to 120 hrs and every single pizza is rolled out manually.
