"Il Cappellaccio" is situated in a beautiful, 15th century old building in the charming village of Castagneto Carducci, right the one that Giosuè Carducci mentioned in his famous poem "San Martino". 

The restaurant's owner has meant to join his passion for the art of genuine pizza with the pleasure of tasting fine wines in a one- of - a - kind venue. Il Cappellaccio has two large and comfortable rooms that are carved into the rock. Moreover, a special lighting system creates an elegant and intimate atmosphere.

The “cavalluccio marino” (the Italian translation of the word “seahorse”) was established in the fifthies and since 1985 it has been run from the Malenotti family, who renovated the venue and managed to turn it into what it is today.The restaurant is located directly on the beach in Vada, in front of the fishermen’s small harbour, with wonderful sea view and breathtaking sunsets. Our menu features traditional fish and seafood dishes, all of them enriched by a creative touch. Among our specials are the “SALUMI DI MARE” (“fish/seafood cold cuts) , such as tuna-porchetta, tuna and squid-mortadella, seafood finocchiona,  tuna, octopus and squid-soppressata and tuna roast-beef.

Our pizzeria proposes the “GIROFORNO”: classic and special pizzas which express our thorough culinary experimentation.

Last but not least, our cafeteria which is open throughout the day, from 8:00 am until in the evening: beside our tasty aperitif we serve sandwiches, focaccias or salads for your lunch break, to be enjoyed at best in our terrace with sea view.

Our restaurant is located along the beautiful promenade of Castiglioncello, on the Etruscan coast: the ideal starting point to explore the nature and history rich surroundings or just enjoy a wonderful stroll along the seafront.

The venue features a beautiful terrace, which is entirely made of glass windows and is open all year round so that you can enjoy the beauty of the sea in every season.

Being run from our family for almost 30 years, the restaurant-pizzeria in Cecina Mare is one of the establishment's  flagships. We pay particular attention in choosing products coming from local farmers, fresh fish from our coast and great wines from Bolgheri; together with our homemade bread and desserts, our  dishes will offer our guests an unforgettable culinary experience in front of one of the most beautiful sunsets in the world: our terrace will make you feel almost floating on the sea without leaving dry land.

Our menu is based on fresh local fish courses, with a wide choice of daily specials featuring also fatty cold-water fish (mackerel, tuna, anchovies, sardines etc) always enhanced on cooking by our creative touch.The kitchen and the pizzeria are open nonstop from midday until midnight. Besides our excellent pizzas you will find a wide choice of filled focaccias and fresh baked bread types such as the ones flavoured with chili, rosemary or cuttlefish ink. Located in the heart of a medieval village named Montescudaio, the restaurant has been built inside an old, renovated oil mill; with its cozy hall, which can accommodate up to 30 people,the venue offers its guests  pleasurable atmosphere which is halfway between contemporary and old times. The menu features vegetarian options, fish and in particular meat courses, which are mainly prepared with local products except for some unusual culinary creations. Egg past, cakes and ice cream are all homemade. The menu varies quite often, in order to follow the season and to offer the opportunity to enjoy different dishes.

Il Garibaldi Innamorato opened in 1996 in Piombino historic district; it consists of two communicating cosy rooms that remain at your disposal for lunch and dinner 364 days a year, for we are closed only on 1st January.

Our menu proposes appetizers (8 tastings , among which 4 are warm and 4 cold), three first courses and two second courses, all of them prepared with the freshest fish in order to offer you the highest quality service. For this reason we have decided not to be provided with a freezer. Our philosophy is based on offering you local and genuine fish: you can choose among greater amberjacks, anchovies, mackerels, atlantic bonitos, silver scabbardfishes, dried cods, octopuses, squids and cuttlefishes.

Our desserts are all home made: our special is the pastry cream with cats' tongues, definitely not to be missed !

We also have excellent wines, especially white (both national and international) and a wide choice of champagnes.
